Now in our stores: LEROMA, the innovative booster for the food industry

Today‘s expectations are based on building processes efficiently and digitally. A good B2B-platform can help to have a lean and easy exchange between external parties. This increases user satisfaction and also creates the opportunity to unleash new potential.

That is why the vision of an indispensable bridge between raw material suppliers and food producers began to mature in our heads some time ago. LEROMA, a B2B-platform for food raw materials, was developed with this idea. We want to revolutionize the procurement process in the B2B area and give food developers a simple solution for finding the ideal and suitable raw materials.

With our magazine, we want to create an additional platform that we can share with our customers and partners.
The aim is to create an interface where all information from the market flows together.

LEROMA is acting at the beginning of the value chain along the food processing chain. Moreover, it is LEROMA’s mission to create a digital and efficient platform. We are committed to making the food industry transparent and incorporate our expertise. With a lot of passion, we have already been able to develop a comprehensive database of raw materials on our platform, which is constantly being expanded with each new customer.

Filtering is made easier with the help of specialist criteria so that food developers can quickly find the ideal raw material and the right supplier in a short amount of time.

Perhaps at this point it is already clear that LEROMA is striving for an innovative solution for the entire food industry and thus, puts something new in the store.

But there is something else that makes LEROMA a booster for the industry. We provide our surplus exchange which makes it easy to place residual items on the platform and offer them to the market instead of disposing them. In doing so, we are contributing to reducing food waste and complying with our permanent desire for sustainability.

It is our goal to gain a global network and sustainable B2B-platform for food raw materials by implementing the trust of our daily users.

We want to say thank you.

The year-end is coming closer and like many others, we would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the past months. The nostalgia of the season affects us and we remember what we have achieved and whom we are grateful for.

LEROMA was founded in December 2019 and in the following months we prepared our launch. Despite the challenges that 2020 brought to all of us, we were successful and launched our MVP in May. We are very grateful for the position we are in right now. It feels like the right time to present our solution and we already have reached important milestones.

Now let us express our appreciation to those who have helped us get closer to our goal. We look back and see various supporters at the beginning of our journey. Thanks to them, we have already been able to incorporate different perspectives in our work and thus, expand our experience. One of them is STARTPLATZ.

STARTPLATZ is a local startup incubator and accelerator from NRW that has been accompanying company founders on their way since 2013.

Our one-year collaboration began in July 2019 in the coworking space in Düsseldorf. There we got the chance to get in touch with a large network and shared the workplace with many other startups.

This collaboration was driven by recurring opportunities to exchange ideas and learn from each other. In a large number of workshops, we not only learned how to quickly establish ourselves in the market but also how we can ensure sustainable growth. In addition, we had access to a team of experts at all times to receive individual advice.

At this point, we would like to say thank you. We thank the entire STARTPLATZ team.

Dutch Gum: The environmentally friendly answer to the waste problem of coffee production

Coffee is the second most consumed beverage in the world, with 2.6 billion cups consumed daily. However, its production also results in a significant amount of waste, around 20 million tonnes per year from coffee cherries. This is both damaging to the environment and a problem for manufacturers, who have to dispose of about 45% of the coffee cherries (also called cascara). For this reason, the company PectCof (Pectin from Coffee) has found a sustainable solution to this problem.
